1. What Kind of Information Does Soliya Collect Information About You?

• Member Profile Information: Soliya collects Member submitted information, such as name, age, email address, picture of Member, nationality, religion, native language, university affiliation, instant messenger account and other profile related questions. This information will be visible to other Members OF the Soliya NETWORK. However, some other information such as your phone number and your alternate email address will not be visible to other Student Members although it may be visible to Facilitators and Network Members. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of profile information and keeping it updated. You can update your profile information by clicking on your picture and then clicking on “Edit my profile.” Please see Section 3 of this Privacy Policy for details regarding how Soliya may use your information.
• Cookies and Web Beacons: Cookies are pieces of data that a website transfers to a Member’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Web beacons are transparent pixel images that are used to track the online usage patterns of our Members anonymously (i.e., in a non-personally-identifiable manner). Soliya uses cookies and web beacons to provide enhanced functionality on the Soliya Website and to aggregate and analyze traffic data such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc. You have many choices with regards to the management of cookies on your computer. All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from your system. To learn more about your ability to manage cookies and web beacons, please consult the privacy features in your browser.
• Log File Information: When you use the Soliya Website, our servers may automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website.
• Information Recorded in the Soliya Meeting Rooms: Soliya may record the audio-visual, textual and graphical interactions in the Soliya Meeting Rooms. Such recordings may include activities in the main meeting rooms, break out rooms, social rooms or any other forum in which a discussion or exchange of information on or through the Soliya Network. Soliya recognizes and appreciates participants’ concerns regarding talking openly about such sensitive political issues, and takes significant precautions to ensure that the relevant videos are not accessible by any third party, except as specified in this Privacy Policy. These recordings are generally made to provide feedback and training to Facilitators. These recordings may also be used for further educational purposes and/or purposes consistent with Soliya’s mission, including fundraising materials or marketing and promotional activities of Soliya.
• Commenting or Posting on the Soliya Website: Please keep in mind that, whenever you decide to comment or Post information, Content, or files on the Soliya Website, you may be voluntarily disclosing any personal information contained in your comment or Posting. Any such information can be collected and used by other Members and you may receive unsolicited communications as a result. We cannot control which Members will access such information or what they may do with such information. Any Content that is Posted on the Soliya Website at your direction (or the direction of anyone using your Member account) becomes published content and is not considered personally-identifiable information that is subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. How Does Soliya Protect Information?

Access to all Member accounts are password-protected. Access to Soliya-controlled passwords is limited to only those Soliya employees, contractors, authorized persons who need it in order to perform their job functions, and as otherwise required of us by law. To protect the security of your information, you should keep your password information secret. Although we will take reasonable measures to protect your information and Content, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Hardware or software failures, unauthorized use, hacking, unlawful conduct, actions of third parties, and other factors may lead to a security breach. We cannot control the actions of other Members or third parties. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that the Content you Post on the Soliya Network or information that you provide to Soliya will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Soliya Network.

3. How Does Soliya Use Your Information?

Soliya will not sell, rent, share, trade, or give away any of your personally-identifiable information to third parties except when we have your permission, in cases where you are expressly informed otherwise and have an opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of the sharing of your information, or under the following circumstances:

• Soliya may disclose your personally-identifiable information and/or other Member information to its employees, Facilitators, subcontractors, agents, or other authorized individuals who need access to this information in order to perform the functions for which they have been engaged by Soliya.
• Soliya reserves the right to disclose profile information, personally-identifiable information and/or other Member information, including the information recorded in the Soliya meeting rooms to third parties for the purposes of analyzing and improving our program. Soliya will take reasonable measures to ensure that such parties enter into contractual obligations to protect the information disclosed by Soliya and do not further disclose or transfer such information.
• Soliya may share or disclose non-personally-identifying profile information and aggregate usage information to third parties.
• Soliya may release personally-identifiable information and/or other Member information if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with any applicable law or respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant or request to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
• Soliya may disclose personally-identifiable information and/or other Member information that Soliya believes, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce the Terms of UseL or this Privacy Policy, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third party claims or allegations, to protect the security or integrity of the Soliya Network, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Soliya, its Members or others.
• Soliya reserves the right to transfer or assign information about Members to a successor-in-interest in connection with the sale of Soliya’s assets, a merger with another entity or as a result of any transfer or re-organization of Soliya’s business.

4. Your Right to Opt-Out of Receiving Promotional Mailings.

You may opt out of receiving future promotional mailings you may receive as a result of your use of the website by sending an email to: [unsubscribe@soliya.net] You may also opt out of receiving notification emails on your Posts or blog subscriptions by clicking on the relevant link on the bottom of the page and unchecking the options, as desired. 5. Third Party Websites.

The Soliya Network contains links to other websites. Our Privacy Policy only applies to information collected by us at this website. We do not control and are not responsible for any other websites, their respective privacy practices, or how they treat your personal information; this disclaimer includes websites maintained by or for other Members. When you visit or access any third party website, you will be subject to that website’s privacy policy and terms and conditions.

6. Special Note to International Members.

Members across the world use the Soliya Network. Soliya makes no representation or warranties to you that this Privacy Policy is in compliance with the privacy or data protection laws or regulations of any country from which you access or use the Soliya Network. By your use of this website, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy, including transfer of your personal information to any location (including a country other than the country from which you access or use the Soliya Website) at which Soliya’s servers and/or databases may be currently located or re-located from time to time.
